Technical Qualifications: • All candidates must have a valid Motor Driving License endorsed for all types of transport vehicles (LMV, HGMV & HPMV). Experience Required: Experience for not less than 3 years in driving motor vehicles. Physical Standards: OBC, Viswakarma - Height: Not less than 168 cm, Chest: Min 81 cm with min 5 cm expansion. Scheduled Caste - Height: Not less than 160 cm, Chest: Min 81 cm with min 5 cm expansion. Must qualify in 5 out of 8 events of National Physical Efficiency one star standard test. Must possess prescribed medical standards including perfect hearing and specified vision standards without glasses (Distant Vision: 6/6 Snellen for both eyes, Near Vision: 0.5 Snellen for both eyes, Colour Vision: Normal, Night Blindness: Nil). Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II KS & SSR is applicable. Government orders regarding equivalent/higher qualifications shall be produced when called for.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
