Educational Qualifications: • Must have passed the Plus Two or its equivalent examination. Physical Standards: Height: Must not be less than 150 cm. Endurance Test: 2.5 kilometre run within 15 minutes. Physical Efficiency Test: Must pass at least 5 (five) of the following 8 (eight) events of the National Physical Efficiency Test at the One Star standard: 1. 100 Metres Run (17 seconds), 2. High Jump (1.06 metre), 3. Long Jump (3.05 metres), 4. Putting the Shot (4 kgs) (4.88 metres), 5. 200 Metres Run (36 seconds), 6. Throwing the Cricket Ball (14 metres), 7. Shuttle Race (4 X 25 metres) (26 seconds), 8. Skipping (one minute) (80 times). Eye Sight: Must be certified by a Medical Officer not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon/Junior Consultant as to outdoor and physical capability and vision standards without glasses (Distant Vision: Right Eye 6/6 Selen, Left Eye 6/6 Selen; Near Vision: Right Eye 0.5 Selen, Left Eye 0.5 Selen; Full vision, free from colour blindness, squint or any morbid conditions). Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
