Educational Qualifications: • Must be a Graduate. Experience Required: None Physical Standards: Height: 167 cm (160 cm for SC/ST). Chest: 81 cm with 5 cm expansion (76 cm with 5 cm expansion for SC/ST). Vision: Distant vision 6/6 Snellen, Near vision 0.5 Snellen for both eyes without glasses. Must be free from physical defects like knock-knee, flat feet, varicose veins, bow legs, deformed limbs, irregular/protruding teeth, defective speech/hearing. Must qualify in at least 5 out of 8 items of the National Physical Efficiency One Star Standards Test. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part-II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. Qualifications recognized by executive/standing orders as equivalent or higher are considered.

How the age check works

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.

For a 2025 post with the range 18–36 (born 02.01.1989 – 01.01.2007).

What the checker does not decide

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
