Educational Qualifications: • Must have passed Plus two or its equivalent Examination Technical Qualifications: • Must possess a valid Motor Driving Licence with endorsement for driving heavy goods vehicles or heavy passenger vehicles with badge. Physical Standards: Must not be less than 160cms in height (without foot wear). Must not be less than 48kgms in weight and must not be less than 76cms round the chest with a minimum expansion of not less than 5cms. Must qualify in at least 5 out of the 8 items of physical efficiency test. Must be certified to possess the visual standards specified without glasses (Distant Vision: Right Eye 6/6 Snellen, Left Eye 6/6 Snellen; Near Vision: Right Eye 0.5 Snellen, Left Eye 0.5 Snellen; Field of vision: Full).

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
