Educational Qualifications: • Diploma in Agricultural Science awarded by the Kerala Agricultural University or its equivalent • Pass in SSLC with Agriculture as optional subject or its equivalent • Pass in SSLC or its equivalent and a recognized training in Agriculture • SSLC and KGTE in agriculture Technical Qualifications: • Successful completion of 2 years certificate course in Agricultural Science conducted by Gandhigram Rural Institute, Madurai or by Other similar Rural Institutes recognised by the Government of India • Certificate in Agricultural Science awarded by the National Council of Rural Higher Education, Government of India • Certificate in KGTE or MGTE in Agriculture • One Year training in Agriculture in an Agricultural Training School or a basic Agricultural Training School Physical Standards: Good Physique. Endurance test consisting of 1600 m race (maximum duration of 10 minutes) and digging a plot of 0.4 ares (maximum duration 1 hour) for candidates except Diploma holders in agriculture. Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict.
