20-28. Candidates born between 02.01.1996 and 01.01.2004 (both dates included) only are eligible to apply for this post. Upper age limit is relaxed up to 31 years for Other Backward Classes, 33 years for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes, and 41 years for Ex-servicemen.

Educational Qualifications: • Pass in Higher Secondary Education Examination (Plus Two) or its equivalent. Technical Qualifications: • Must possess current valid Driving Licence for Motor Cycle with Gear, Light Motor Vehicles, Heavy Passenger Vehicles and Heavy Goods Vehicles with Driver's Badge. • Proficiency in driving Light Motor Vehicles/Heavy Passenger Vehicles/Heavy Goods Vehicles, which is to be proved in a practical test conducted by Kerala Public Service Commission. Physical Standards: Male Height: min 168 cm (161 cm for SC/ST). Female Height: min 157 cm (151 cm for SC/ST). Chest (Male only): min 81 cm with 5 cm expansion (76 cm with 5 cm expansion for SC/ST). Visual standards without glasses: Distant vision 6/6 Snellen (right and left eye), Near vision 0.5 Snellen (right and left eye). Must be free from apparent physical defects like knock knee, flat foot, varicose veins, bow legs, deformed limbs, defective speech and hearing. Must qualify in physical efficiency test. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10 (a) (ii) of Part II of the KS&SSR is applicable.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
