Educational Qualifications: • NTC in the Trade of Mechanic [Tractor/Mechanic (Motor Vehicle) Mechanic (Diesel/Fitter)] Technical Qualifications: • Current Tractor Driving License. Experience Required: Practical experience of not less than one year in the trade. The Practical experience should be one acquired after the acquisition of I.T.I. Trade (NTC) certificate. Proficiency in the field of work will be assessed in a practical test conducted by the Public Service Commission. Physical Standards: Must be physically fit as per standards: (a) Ear: Hearing should be perfect, (b) Eye: Distant vision - 6/6 Snellen, Near vision - 0.5 Snellen, Colour vision - Normal, Night Blindness - Nil, (c) Muscles and Joints: No paralysis and all joints should be capable of free movement, (d) Nervous System: Perfectly normal and free from any infectious disease. Differently Abled candidates are not eligible. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10 (a)(ii) of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable to selection to this post. Those who claim equivalent qualification shall produce the respective Government Order to prove the claim at the time of 'One Time Verification'.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict.
