Educational Qualifications: • Post Graduate Degree in any Faculty such as Humanities, Science, Commerce, Public Administration, Languages from any of the Universities in Kerala or a Post Graduate Degree recognized as equivalent thereto with not less than 50% marks. • M.Ed Degree with specialization in Educational Planning and Management, Administration, Primary Education, Continuing Education, Distance Education, Education Extension, Guidance and Counselling, Teacher Education with not less than 50% marks from any Statutory University in Kerala OR M.Ed Degree with not less than 50% marks from any Statutory University in Kerala along with Post Graduate Diploma or Diploma in any of the subjects mentioned in item 2(a) above from any institution recognized by the Government of Kerala. Experience Required: Not less than 3 years regular service as Teacher Educator in Government Teacher Training Institutes or Primary School Teacher in Government Schools in Kerala or High School Teacher or Higher Secondary School Teacher or Vocational Higher Secondary School Teacher. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
