Educational Qualifications: • Post Graduate Degree in any of the Faculty of Humanities, Science, Commerce or Languages of any Statutory University with not less than 50% marks. • M.Ed Degree with not less than 50% marks with Specialisation in Vocational Education, Work Experience, Basic Education, Life Skill Education, Environmental Education, Guidance and Counselling from any Statutory University in India OR M.Ed Degree with not less than 50% marks in any subject from any Statutory University in India with Post Graduate Diploma or Diploma in any of the Special subjects mentioned in item 2(a) above from any institution recognized by the Government of Kerala. Experience Required: Not less than 3 years regular teaching experience as Teacher Educator in Government Teacher Training Institutes or as Primary School Teacher/High School Teacher/Higher Secondary School Teacher/Vocational Higher Secondary School Teacher in Government Schools in Kerala. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)ii is applicable. Government Orders/Equivalency certificates for equivalent qualifications shall be produced during verification.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
