Physical Standards: Must possess physical fitness and specified physical standards. Height: General Category - 152 cm, SC/ST Category - 150 cm. Vision standards without glasses: Distant vision (Right eye 6/6 Snellen, Left eye 6/6 Snellen), Near vision (Right eye 0.5 Snellen, Left eye 0.5 Snellen), Field of vision Full. Must pass swimming test (50 meters swim within 2 minutes 15 seconds, and floating capacity in deep water for 2 minutes). Must pass 5 events out of 8 in National Physical Efficiency Standard tests. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part-II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. Equivalency orders issued by Government from time to time will apply.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
