19-36, only candidates born between 02.01.1978 and 01.01.1995 (both dates included) are eligible. Other backward communities and SC/ST candidates are eligible for usual age relaxation. Maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years.

Educational Qualifications: • Diploma in Agricultural and Rural Engineering awarded by the Kerala Agricultural University. Technical Qualifications: • National Trade Certificate in any of the following trades from the I.T.I.: (a) Mechanic (Tractor), (b) Mechanic (Motor vehicle), (c) Mechanic (Diesel), (d) Fitter • Valid Tractor Driving licence Experience Required: In the absence of Diploma holders, candidates with ITI certificate must possess practical experience of not less than one year in the trade, acquired after the acquisition of the I.T.I. Trade certificate. Physical Standards: Candidates must possess specific standards of vision: Distant vision 6/6 snellen for both eyes, Near vision 0.5 snellen for both eyes, and each eye must have full field of vision. Proficiency in the field of work will be assessed in a practical test. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: In the absence of persons with the Diploma in Agricultural and Rural Engineering, persons with the specified ITI qualifications and experience will be considered.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
