Technical Qualifications: • National Trade Certificate awarded by the National Council for Vocational Training in the trade Draftsman (Civil/Mechanical) after the completion of 2 year course or its equivalent. • OR • Kerala Government Certificate Examination in Engineering in Civil/Mechanical issued by Government of Kerala after the completion of two years course or its equivalent. Experience Required: Must have worked for a period of not less than 3 years in Kerala Water Authority. Physical Standards: Not applicable Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS&SSR is applicable. Qualifications recognized by Executive Orders or Standing Orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for the post in the Special Rules or found acceptable by the Commission are sufficient.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict.
