Educational Qualifications: • Degree in Arabic or BA Arabic and Islamic History (Double Main) conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. • OR A Title of Oriental Learning in Arabic (and must have passed Part III of the BA Degree course) awarded or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. • OR A Pass in post-graduate degree in Arabic. • Certificate in Language Teacher Training issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala (for Oriental Title holders). Technical Qualifications: • B.Ed/B.T/L.T conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala (B.Ed should be in the concerned subject). Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. Equivalency certificate must be produced along with government orders where applicable.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
