Educational Qualifications: • Ability to read and write Malayalam, Tamil or Kannada. Technical Qualifications: • Must possess current Motor Driving License (Heavy Duty Vehicles - both Heavy Goods and Heavy Passenger vehicles) with endorsement, and minimum 3 years experience in driving Heavy Duty Vehicles (Military or Civil). • Motor Driving License must have been obtained after 16.01.1979 as per Motor Vehicles Act 47/78. Experience Required: 3 years experience in driving Heavy Duty Vehicles (Military or Civil). Physical Standards: Complete hearing capacity. Vision standards: Distant vision 6/6 snellen (Right and Left), Near vision 0.5 snellen (Right and Left), Normal color vision, No night blindness, no squint, no morbid conditions. Muscles and joints must be free from paralysis with free movements. Nervous system must be normal. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Rule 10(a)ii is applicable. Equivalency orders to be produced during OTR verification.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
