19-33. Candidates born between 02.01.1990 and 01.01.2004 are eligible. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste Converted to Christian Community who converted after attaining 18 years and children of such parents: 19-35 (born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2005).

Educational Qualifications: • Pass in Plus Two Examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Government of Kerala or Equivalent examination recognized by Government of India or Government of Kerala. Physical Standards: Male - Height: Min 168 cms, Chest: Min 81 cms with 5 cms expansion. Female - Height: Min 157 cms. Medical standards: Hearing should be perfect. Distant Vision: 6/6 Snellen (Right & Left), Near Vision: 0.5 Snellen (Right & Left), Colour Vision: Normal, Night Blindness: Nil. Must be free from physical defects like knock-knee, flat foot, varicose vein, bow legs, deformed limbs, defective speech and hearing. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS & SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. Government orders regarding equivalent/higher qualifications shall be produced when called for.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
