18-45. Only Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste born between 02.01.1981 and 01.01.2008 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. (including relaxation as per para 2 (i) of the General Conditions). In no case the maximum upper age limit shall exceed 50 (fifty) years.

Educational Qualifications: • Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Technical Qualifications: • Certificate awarded by the ITI after having completed 18 months course in the trade of Electrician and successful completion of apprenticeship (in the absence of candidates with Diploma). Experience Required: Two years experience in a film studio of repute. (Note: In the absence of Scheduled Caste candidates having prescribed experience qualification, Scheduled Caste candidates without experience will also be considered for the selection.) Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10 a (ii) of Part II KS & SSR is applicable.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
