Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Minimum General Educational qualification of SSLC Standard Technical Qualifications: • Successful training for a period of not less than three years in General Sick Nursing • In the case of Women candidates, successful training for not less than nine months in Midwifery from an Institution recognized by the State Government (Note: Those who have successful training for not less than six months in Midwifery will also be eligible) • In the case of males, successful completion of Short Term Course in one or the other of the Nursing Subjects of Venerology, Urology, Psychiatry or Ophthalmology in a major hospital • Certificate of registration with the Nurses and Midwives Council of any State in India as Nurse and Midwife in the case of Women Candidates and as Nurse in the case of Male candidates Experience Required: Not specified Physical Standards: Not specified Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) (ii) is applicable. Candidates claiming equivalent qualification should produce relevant Government orders during verification.

General conditions from the notification
The selection will be made on a revenue district basis. Candidates advised for appointment in one revenue district are not eligible for transfer to another district unless they complete five years of continuous service. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in this Department in any one district are prohibited from applying again. If a written/OMR/Online test is conducted, candidates must submit a confirmation for writing the examination through their One Time Registration.
