Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Second Grade Overseer/ Second Grade Draftsman -Civil in Irrigation. Category No: 304/2018. Vacancies: 22 (Twenty Two). Scale of Pay: ₹22,200-48,000. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (Special Recruitment from among Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes only). Applications must be submitted online on or before 30-01-2019 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

18-41. Only Candidates born between 02.01.1977 and 01.01.2000 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. No other age relaxation will be allowed. In the absence of qualified candidates within the age limit the upper age limit shall be relaxed up to 50 years. But in no case the maximum age limit shall exceed 50 (Fifty) years. Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Group Certificate under KGTE or Equivalent Examinations (including Building Drawing, Building Construction, Survey and Irrigation). • A pass in eight subjects: i) Surveying and Leveling (Higher), ii) Applied mechanics (Higher), iii) Building Material and Construction (Higher), iv) Hydraulics and Drawing and Estimating (Higher), v) Building Drawing and Estimating (Higher), vi) Earth work and Road Making (Higher), vii) Geometrical Drawing (Lower) or practical plane and solid Geometry (Lower), viii) Mensuration (Lower). • Diploma in Craftsmanship in the trade of 'Draftsman (Civil)' or 'Surveyor' obtained after 18 months course (followed by 6 months practical training) at the Industrial Training Institutes/Centres conducted by the Government of India, Ministry of Labour. • Diploma in civil Engineering (2 year Course) of the Women's Polytechnic of the state. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable. Candidates who claim equivalent qualification instead of qualification mentioned in the notification shall produce the relevant Government Order to prove the equivalency at the time of verification.
