Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Scientific Assistant (Biology) in Kerala Police Service (Forensic Science Laboratory). Category No: 33/2019. Vacancies: Scheduled Caste - 1 (One). Scale of Pay: ₹ 36600 - 79200. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (From candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste Community of Kerala State only).. Age limit

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Post Graduate Degree in Botany / Zoology with not less than 50% marks from a recognized University. Technical Qualifications: • M.Phil Degree in Botany / Zoology from a recognized University (Preferential) • Two years Research / Analytical experience in Botany/Zoology from a recognized institution (Preferential) Experience Required: Two years Research / Analytical experience in Botany/Zoology from a recognized institution (Preferential) Physical Standards: Candidates must be certified to possess the visual standards specified below with/without glass by a Medical Officer of or above the rank of an Assistant Surgeon. Right Eye: Distant Vision 6/6 (Snellen), Near Vision 0.5 (Snellen). Left Eye: Distant Vision 6/6 (Snellen), Near Vision 0.5 (Snellen). Each eye must have a full field of vision and colour blindness will be a disqualification. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10 a (ii) of Part II KS & SSR is applicable.

General conditions from the notification
Applications submitted by candidates belonging to communities other than Scheduled Caste community will summarily be rejected. Candidates must undergo 6 months training in all branches of Forensic Science and other required training. Every person appointed shall pass the Account Test for Executive Officers or Account Test (Lower). Probation for two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. Execute a Bond to serve the State Government for a minimum period of 5 years after completion of training, failing which liable to pay Rs. 25,000 as liquidated damages plus actual cost of training.
