Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Range Forest Officer in Kerala Forest Department. Category No: 213/2016. Vacancies: 7 (Seven). Scale of Pay: ₹ 20,740-36,140 (PR). Method of Appointment: Recruitment By Transfer (from Forest Officers namely Wildlife Assistant, Deputy Ranger, Forester and Beat Forest Officer). Applications must be submitted online on or before 05-10-2016 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

Must not have completed 40 (Forty) years as on 01.01.2016. Candidates born on or after 02.01.1976 are eligible to apply for the post with usual age relaxation to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Communities. Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Degree in Science or Engineering from a University, Institution or Deemed University recognized by Government of India or Government of Kerala with at least one of the following subjects: Agriculture, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Application/Computer Science, Engineering (Agricultural/ Chemical/ Civil/ Computer/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical), Environmental Science, Forestry, Geology, Horticulture, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Veterinary Science, Zoology Experience Required: Minimum five years service in Kerala Forest Department in the category of Forest Officers namely Wildlife Assistant, Deputy Ranger, Forester and Beat Forest Officer and have been declared to be an approved probationer. Physical Standards: Men: Height - 163 cms, Chest - 79 cms (normal) with 5 cm expansion. Women: Height - 150 cms. Height and chest measurements for SC/ST relaxed by 5 cm and 2.5 cm respectively. Medical standards: Perfect hearing, distant vision 6/6 snellen, near vision 0.5 snellen, normal colour vision, nil night blindness, muscles/joints with free movements, nervous system normal without infectious diseases.
