Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Police Constable Driver (Statewide) in Police. Category No: 300/2020. Vacancies: Statewide – 30 Vacancies (Special Recruitment for ST only). Scale of Pay: 22,200 – 48,000/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (Statewide) (Special Recruitment from among ST only). Applications must be submitted online on or before 30-12-2020 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

18-31. Candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2002 (both dates included) only are eligible. Upper age limit relaxed up to 40 years for Ex-service men. Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Must possess SSLC or its equivalent Qualification. • ST candidates who have failed in the SSLC examination shall also be considered if sufficient number of qualified candidates are not available. Technical Qualifications: • Must possess a current Heavy Duty Vehicle License with Badge. • Driving License issued after 16.01.1979 must have endorsement both for Heavy Goods and Heavy Passenger Vehicles. • Proficiency in Driving Heavy Motor Vehicles (to be proved by a Practical Test conducted by the Kerala Public Service Commission). Experience Required: Not applicable Physical Standards: Height: 160 cm (Minimum); Chest: 76 cm with a minimum expansion of 5 cm; Hearing: Perfect; Eye Sight: Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen (Right & Left), Near Vision 0.5 Snellen (Right & Left) without glasses. Must be free from physical defects like knock-knee, flat foot, varicose vein, bow legs, deformed limbs, irregular/protruding tooth, defective speech, and hearing. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10 (a) (ii) of Part II of the KS&SSR is applicable. Candidates claiming equivalency must produce the Government order concerned at the time of verification.

Appointments are made on the basis of the rank secured in the ranked list subject to conditions in G.O.(P) No. 21/76/PD dated 17.01.1976 and G.O.(P) No.25/94/GAD dated 22.01.1994. Every person appointed by direct recruitment will have in-service training, probation, and execution of a security bond.
