Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Overseer/Draftsman (Mechanical) Grade-II (Special Recruitment from among SC/ST) in Irrigation. Category No: 302/2018. Vacancies: 01 (One). Scale of Pay: ₹22,200-48,000. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (Special Recruitment from among Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes only). Applications must be submitted online on or before 30-01-2019 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

18-41. Only candidates born between 02.01.1977 and 01.01.2000 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. In the absence of qualified candidates within the age limit, the upper age limit shall be relaxed up to 50 years. But in no case the maximum age limit shall exceed 50 (Fifty) years. Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Must have passed SSLC or its equivalent • Must possess any one of the following: (i) SMT (Sri Moolam Technical Institute) Overseer's Course (Mechanical) (2 Years Course), (ii) Draftsman Course (Mechanical) College of Engineering Guindy, (iii) Pass in the following subjects under KGTE or MGTE or any other qualification recognised as equivalent thereto: a. Applied Mechanic (Higher), b. Machine Drawing (Higher), c. Heat Engine (Higher), d. Hydraulics & Sanitary Engineering (Higher), e. Practical Plane & Solid (Lower) Geometry OR Geometrical Drawing (Lower), f. Mensuration (Lower), (iv) Certificate Course Mechanical Engineering (2 Years Course) of the College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram, (v) ITI Diploma/Certificate in the trade of Draftsman (mechanical) issued by the Government after completion of 18 months course or its equivalent, (vi) Kerala Government Certificate Examination in Mechanical Engineering (2 year Course) Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable. Candidates who claim equivalent qualification instead of qualification mentioned in the notification shall produce the relevant Government Order to prove the equivalency at the time of verification.
