Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Motor Transport Sub Inspector (Trainee) in Police (Motor Transport Wing). Category No: 13/2016. Vacancies: 3 (Three). Scale of Pay: 16980 – 31360(PR). Method of Appointment: Direct recruitment. Applications must be submitted online on or before 13-04-2016 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

20 – 31. Only candidates born between 2-1-1985 and 1-1-1996 (both days included) are eligible. Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Communities are eligible for usual age relaxation. Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • A Degree or Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering from any university established by statute or any Degree or Diploma declared equivalent thereto. Technical Qualifications: • Must have valid Heavy Duty Driving Licence for Driving. • Driving Licence issued after 16.01.1979 should have separate endorsement of heavy-duty goods vehicles and heavy-duty passenger vehicles. Experience Required: Two years experience in a Government approved Automobile workshop in the case of Diploma Holders and one-year experience in the case of Degree Holders after the acquisition of the qualification. Physical Standards: Height: 165 cms (160 cms for SC/ST). Chest: 81-86 cms (76-81 cms for SC/ST) with minimum 5 cms expansion. Eye Sight: Distant vision 6/6 Snellen, Near vision 0.5 Snellen for both eyes without glasses. Must be free from physical defects like Knock-knee, Flat Feet, Varicose veins, Bow legs, Deformed limbs, irregular/protruding teeth, defective speech and hearing. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable.
General conditions from the notification
Candidates must possess a current Driving Licence throughout all stages of selection. Differently abled candidates are not eligible. Selected candidates must undergo 6 months basic training. Training period does not count for probation, increment, or promotion.
