Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Motor Transport Inspector (Technical) in Police (Motor Transport Wing). Category No: 482/2019. Vacancies: 5 (Five). Scale of Pay: Rs. 39500 – 83000. Method of Appointment: Direct recruitment. Applications must be submitted online on or before 05-02-2020 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

25 – 36. Only candidates born between 2-1-1983 and 1-1-1994 (both days included) are eligible. Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Communities are eligible for usual age relaxation. Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • A Degree in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering recognised by the Government of Kerala. Technical Qualifications: • Must have valid current Heavy Duty Licence for Driving. Experience Required: Post Qualification Experience for a period of not less than 5 years in a major Registered Automobile Workshop having not less than 50 employees of which not less than three years should be as an Assistant Engineer or its equivalent post and the same shall be one acquired after the date of registration of the Work Shop. The experience should be in Automobile Engineering/Mechanical Engineering. Physical Standards: Height: 165 cms; Chest: 81-86 cms (Minimum expansion 5 cm); Eye Sight: Distant vision 6/6 Snellen, Near vision 0.5 Snellen for both eyes without glasses. Colour blindness, squint or any morbid conditions of the eyes are disqualifications. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS & SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. Candidates claiming equivalent qualifications must produce relevant government orders at the time of verification.
General conditions from the notification
Candidates must undergo training for six months and pass the prescribed test. Probation period is two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. Candidates must submit confirmation for writing the examination through their One Time Registration profile if a test is conducted.
