Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of L.D. Typist in N.C.C./SAINIK WELFARE. Category No: 641-642/2017. Vacancies: Ernakulam - LC/AI – 1 (One), OBC – 1 (One). Scale of Pay: 19,000- 43600/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (From Ex-servicemen of LC/AI and OBC reservation group of communities only). Applications must be submitted online on or before 31-01-2018 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

18 – 50. Candidates born between 02/01/1967 and 01/01/1999 (Including both dates). Relaxation in upper age limit will not be allowed in any case. Selected candidates should not have completed 56 years of age while joining duty. Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Pass in SSLC or its equivalent Technical Qualifications: • Lower Grade Certificate in Typewriting Malayalam (KGTE) • Lower Grade Certificate in Typewriting English (KGTE) and Computer Word Processing or its equivalent Experience Required: Service as Clerk/Writer in the Defence forces for not less than 15 years is deemed as sufficient qualification. Ex-servicemen with service as Clerk (General duties), Clerk (Staff duties), Clerk (A.O.C), Personal Assistants in the Army, Writers in the Navy, and Clerks (General duties) in the Air Force, who were under the Category 'Class I' or those who possess 15 years service in the Clerical cadre in the Defence Forces are eligible. Physical Standards: Not applicable Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part II Rule 10 a (ii) is applicable. Certificate in Computer Word Processing issued by Central/State Government Department/Agencies/Societies/Universities after successfully completing a course of study not less than three months duration is considered as equivalent to KGTE Computer Word Processing.

General conditions from the notification
Selection is on a Revenue District basis. Candidates already in Government Service holding the same post in any one district are prohibited from applying. Candidates advised for appointment are not eligible for transfer to another district unless they complete 5 years of continuous service. Malayalam Typewriting (Lower) is not compulsory for Ex-servicemen at the time of application but must be acquired before completing probation if selected.
