Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • A Degree in the concerned subject and B.Ed/BT in the concerned subject both conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. • The applicant should have taken History or Economics or Geography or Politics or Philosophy or Sociology as main subject for Graduation. • Post Graduates in concerned subject with B.Ed/BT in the concerned subject are also eligible. • BA.Ed Integrated Course (Social Studies, English) conducted by the Regional Institute Of Education in Mysore is eligible. • Various specific combinations of BA Islamic History/Arabic/Economics/Political Science/Indian History with B.Ed are accepted as per specific G.Os. Technical Qualifications: • Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala. • Exemptions apply for CTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D/M.Ed holders and certain employees who entered service before 31.03.2012. Experience Required: Candidates should have service not less than 5 years as Clerk/Typist/Attender/Office Attendant/Binder in the General Education Department as on the date of application. Physical Standards: Not applicable. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS&SSR is applicable. Diploma in Rural Service awarded by the National Council for Rural Higher Education is treated as equivalent to Degree.

General conditions from the notification
Candidates must be an approved probationer/Full member of the Kerala General Education subordinate service. Selection is on a revenue district basis. Rules regarding reservation (Rule 14 to 17 in Part II of KS & SSR) are not applicable to recruitment by transfer.
