Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Forest Boat Driver in Forest. Category No: 448/2022. Vacancies: District wise (Thiruvananthapuram: Anticipated). Scale of Pay: ₹ 26,500-60,700/-. Method of Appointment: By Transfer Recruitment (District wise) from among the eligible Boat lascar, Boat Cleaners and Boat Watchers in the Kerala Forest Department who have been declared to be an approved probationer. Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • SSLC or its equivalent examination recognized by Government of India or Government of Kerala. Technical Qualifications: • All candidates must have a valid Motor Driving license issued by a competent authority to drive motor boat and must have experience for not less than three years as Boat Driver. • All candidates must have basic knowledge in motor boat engine mechanism and the ability to carry out minor repairs. Experience Required: Experience for not less than three years as Boat Driver, acquired after obtaining the academic or other basic qualifications. Physical Standards: Height: Minimum 168 cms (Minimum 160 cm for SC/ST candidates). Chest (Normal): Minimum 81 cms. Chest expansion: Minimum 5 cms (No relaxation in chest expansion for SC/ST candidates). Must qualify in any of the Five events out of the Eight, specified for men in the National Physical Efficiency One Star Standard test. Must possess prescribed medical standards including perfect hearing, visual standards (Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen for both eyes without glass, Near Vision 0.5 Snellen, normal colour vision, nil night blindness), no paralysis in muscles and joints, nervous system perfectly normal, full field of vision without squint or morbid conditions, and ability to swim (50m swimming trial within two minutes and two minutes floating ability at deeper sides). Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II KS & SSR is applicable. Candidates who claim equivalent qualification shall produce the relevant Government order to prove the claim at the time of One Time Verification or as required by the Commission.

If required number of candidates are not available in ranked lists prepared for appointment by transfer, such vacancies shall be filled up from ranked lists prepared for respective districts under direct recruitment.
