Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Driver Gr. II (HDV) (Ex-Servicemen only) in NCC / Sainik Welfare Department. Category No: 255/2015. Vacancies: District Wise: Scheduled Caste – Thiruvananthapuram – 1 (One). Scale of Pay: 9190-15780/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (From candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste community only). Age limit

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Literacy in Malayalam or Tamil or Kannada Technical Qualifications: • Must possess Current Motor Driving Licence with endorsement of driving Heavy Duty Vehicle and Motor Cycle • Must have three years experience in driving Heavy Duty vehicle either Military or Civil • Driving Licence issued after 16.01.1979 must have endorsement both for heavy Goods and heavy passenger Vehicles Experience Required: Three years experience in driving Heavy Duty vehicle either Military or Civil. Physical Standards: Distant vision: 6/6 Snellen (both eyes), Near vision: 0.5 snellen (both eyes), Colour vision: Normal, Night blindness: Nil, Hearing: Perfect, Muscles and joints: No paralysis and all joints must be capable of free movement, Nervous System: Perfectly normal and free from any infectious diseases. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10 a ii of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable.

General conditions from the notification
Selection is on a revenue district basis. Candidates must be prepared to clean and oil the Motor Vehicles. Selected candidates must be able to drive Light Duty Vehicles also. Physically Handicapped candidates are not eligible. Probation period is 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years.
