Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Draftsman Grade III (Civil)/Overseer Grade III(Civil)/Tracer in Harbour Engineering Department. Category No: 85/2018. Vacancies: 3 (Three). Scale of Pay: 19,000 – 43,600/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment. Applications must be submitted online on or before 29-08-2018 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

18 – 36, Only candidates born between 02.01.1982 and 01.01.2000 (both dates are included) are eligible to apply for this post with usual age relaxation to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Communities (for other conditions regarding the age relaxation please see part II para 2 of the General Conditions) Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Must have passed the SSLC examination or its equivalent examination. Technical Qualifications: • National Trade Certificate in Draftsman Civil or Surveyor. • Group Certificate in Kerala Government Certificate of Engineering (Group Certificate will include all the four subjects namely Building, Drawing, Building Construction, Irrigation). • A pass in the Madras Government Technical Examination/Kerala Government Technical Examination in the following seven subjects: (i) Surveying and leveling (Higher), (ii) Applied Mechanics (Higher), (iii) Building Materials and Construction (Higher), (iv) Building Drawing and Estimating (Higher), (v) Hydraulics and Irrigation (Higher), (vi) Geometrical Drawing (Higher), (vii) Mensuration (Lower). • Diploma in Civil Engineering (2 years course) of the woman Polytechnic of the State. • Diploma in Agricultural and Rural Engineering awarded by the Rural Institute, Thavanoor. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10 (a) (ii) of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable.
General conditions from the notification
Every person appointed to this post shall, from the date on which joins duty, be on probation for a total period of two years of duty within a continuous period of three years. For details including Photo, ID Card, etc. refer the General Conditions given in Part II of the Gazette Notification.
