Age limit

18-36. Only candidates born between 02.01.1985 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. Usual age relaxation for SC/ST and Other Backward Communities is applicable, subject to a maximum age limit of 50 years. Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Pass in standard VII (new) or its equivalent qualification. Technical Qualifications: • Pass in Madras Government Technical Examination MGTE (Lower) or Kerala Government Technical Examination KGTE (Lower) in Book Binding. Experience Required: In the absence of candidates possessing the above qualifications, persons having 18 months experience in Book Binding in a Government Department/Registered Institution shall be considered, provided that they shall prove their proficiency in a practical test to be conducted by the Public Service Commission. Physical Standards: Not specified Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: K.S & S.S.R Part II Rule 10a(ii) is applicable for selection to this post. Candidates claiming equivalent qualification must produce Government order to prove equivalency at the time of verification.

General conditions from the notification

The selection is on a revenue district basis. Candidates advised for appointment in one district are not eligible for transfer to another district for five years. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any district are prohibited from applying. 4% vacancies are reserved for DA candidates. Candidates must submit confirmation for writing the examination if a test is conducted.
