Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Assistant Professor in Ophthalmology in Medical Education. Category No: 081/2019. Vacancies: 04 (Four). Scale of Pay: As per UGC Norms. Age limit

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Medical Post Graduate Degree such as MS (Ophthalmology) from a recognized university/ DNB(Ophthalmology). • In the absence of candidates with the above qualification, candidates with MBBS Degree from a recognised University will be considered for the post of lecturer (salary as per UGC norms). Technical Qualifications: • Permanent Registration under State Medical Council (Travancore Cochin Medical Council) Experience Required: Three years Teaching Experience or such other teaching experience as prescribed by the Medical Council of India. The Post Graduate study period for Medical subjects will be considered as teaching experience provided the candidates have undergone Residency Programme or produced a certificate from the Principal of the College regarding teaching/clinical work experience during the PG course. Physical Standards: Not specified Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10 (a)ii of Part II of the KS & SSR is applicable. Candidates claiming equivalent qualification must produce the relevant Government Order at the time of verification.
General conditions from the notification
Candidates must serve for four years during the first ten years of service in defence or services connected with defence if required (exemptions apply for differently abled and those over 45). If a test is conducted, candidates must submit confirmation through their profile. AADHAAR card should be added as ID proof.
