Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Assistant Engineer (Civil) in Public Works/Irrigation. Category No: 232/2018, 233/2018, 234/2018. Vacancies: Anticipated. Scale of Pay: ₹39500 - 83000. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (Category 232/18), Direct Recruitment from Departmental candidates of PWD only (Category 233/18), Direct Recruitment from Departmental candidates of Irrigation Department only (Category 234/18). Applications must be submitted online on or before 30-01-2019 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

For Direct Recruitment (Category 232/18): 21-40, born between 02/01/1978 and 01/01/1997 (both dates included). For Departmental Quota (Category 233/18 & 234/18): Must have completed 21 years as on 01.01.2018. The upper age limit is not applicable, but in no case shall exceed 50 years. Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • B.Sc/B.Tech Degree in Engineering (Civil) of the Kerala University or B.E Degree (Civil) of the Madras University or any other qualification recognised as equivalent thereto • Associate Membership Diploma of the Institution of Engineers, India, in Civil Engineering or any other Diploma recognized as equivalent thereto • Pass in sections 'A' and 'B' of the Associate Membership Examinations of the Institution of Engineers, India, in Civil Engineering Experience Required: For Departmental Quota: I & II Grade Draftsman/Overseer and III Grade Overseers/Tracers must have rendered not less than 2 years service in concerned Departments. Clerks, Typists, Typist-Clerks or Confidential Assistants must have rendered not less than 6 years service in concerned Departments. Physical Standards: Not specified Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. Candidates claiming equivalent qualifications must produce Government order to prove equivalency at the time of verification.

General conditions from the notification
Candidates must submit confirmation for writing the examination through their One Time Registration profile if a written/OMR/Online test is conducted. 3% of vacancies reserved for differently abled candidates (except departmental quota). Candidates appointed must serve for four years in Defence Service or Services connected with Defence within the first ten years of service (not applicable to those who have completed 40 years of age).
