Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Assistant Engineer (Civil) in Harbour Engineering Department. Category No: 126/2021. Vacancies: 01 (One). Scale of Pay: ₹ 39,500 – 83,000/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment. (Candidates from the Staff in the Subordinate Service of Harbour Engineering Department having not less than 6 years of service and who possess the qualifications prescribed for Direct Recruitment to the category of Assistant Engineer.). Applications must be submitted online on or before 02-06-2021 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

The upper age limit for open market candidates shall not be applicable in the case of candidates belonging to the category of Draftsman Grade I/Overseer Grade I/ Draftsman Grade II/ Overseer Grade II or Clerks in the Harbour Engineering Subordinate Service. Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • B.Sc / B. Tech Degree in Engineering (Civil) of the Kerala University or any other qualification recognized as equivalent thereto. • Associate Membership Diploma of the Institution of Engineers (India) in Civil Engineering or any other Diploma recognized as equivalent thereto. • Pass in Sections A and B of the Associate membership Examination of the Institution of Engineers (India) in Civil Engineering. Experience Required: Not less than 6 (Six) years of service in the Subordinate Service of Harbour Engineering Department Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10 a (ii) of part II of KS&SSR is applicable. Candidates who claim equivalent qualification instead of qualification mentioned in the notification shall produce the relevant Government Order/ Equivalency certificate if equivalency is mentioned in the notification to prove the equivalency at the time of verification, then only such qualification shall be treated as equivalent to the prescribed qualification concerned.

General conditions from the notification
Applications are invited Online only. Rules of reservation and rotation will not be applicable for Direct Recruitment to the selection of Departmental Candidates. Candidates must submit a confirmation for writing the examination through their OTR profile if written/OMR/online test is conducted. Disciplinary action as per Rules of Procedure Rule 22 shall be initiated for bogus claims.
