Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Assistant Professor in Medical Gastroenterology in Medical Education. Category No: 899/2025. Vacancies: Scheduled Caste - 01 (One). Scale of Pay: As per UGC norms. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (Only from candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste Community. Applications of Scheduled Tribe candidates will also be considered in the absence of Scheduled Caste candidates.). Age limit

22-50: (Only candidates born between 02.01.1975 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for the post. (including the age relaxation in para 2(i) of the General Conditions). Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • DM/DNB/DrNB in Gastroenterology • Have completed the Basic Course in Biomedical Research from recognized medical institution designated by the National Medical Commission Technical Qualifications: • Permanent Registration under Kerala State Medical Council (TCMC)/ Council for Modern Medicine Experience Required: Not specified Physical Standards: Not specified Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. Qualifications are as per NMC 2025, Medical Institutions (Qualifications of Faculty) Regulations 2025 dated 30/06/2025.

General conditions from the notification
Candidates must acquaint themselves with the instructions given in Part II of the Gazette Notification. Those appointed should serve for four (4) years during the first ten (10) years of their service (including the period of training) anywhere in India or any other foreign country under Defense Services connected with Defense, if required. Differently abled candidates and those who have completed 45 years of age are exempted from the above compulsory Military Service.
