Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Assistant Professor in Cardio Vascular and Thoracic Surgery in Medical Education. Category No: 797/2025. Vacancies: Scheduled Tribe-01 (One). Scale of Pay: As per UGC norms. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment from candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribe Community. (In the absence of qualified Scheduled Tribe candidates, application of Scheduled Caste candidates will also be considered.). Age limit

22-50: Only candidates born between 02.01.1975 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for the post. (including the age relaxation in para 2(i) of the General Conditions). Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • M.Ch/ DNB/DrNB in Cardio Vascular & Thoracic Surgery • Basic Course in Biomedical Research from recognized medical institution designated by the National Medical Commission Technical Qualifications: • Permanent Registration under Kerala State Medical Council (TCMC) / Council for Modern Medicine Experience Required: Not specified Physical Standards: Not specified Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. Qualifications are as per NMC 2025, Medical Institutions (Qualifications of faculty) Regulations, 2025 dated 30.06.2025.

General conditions from the notification
Candidates must acquaint themselves with the instructions given in the notification as Part II, General Conditions. Those appointed must serve for four (4) years during the first ten (10) years of their service (including the period of training) anywhere in India or any other foreign country under Defence Services connected with Defence, if required.
