Age limit

18-36. Only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. Other Backward Communities and SC/ST candidates are eligible for usual age relaxation. Workers having requisite qualification are eligible for direct recruitment through KPSC, relaxing upper age up to 50 years. Provisional hands working in the concern are given age relaxation to the extent of their provisional service (max 5 years) provided they were within the age limit on the date of their first appointment. Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Certificate in Catering from Government recognised Institute. Technical Qualifications: • Two years experience as Cook under Government / Quasi Government/ Public Sector/registered concern. Experience Required: Two years experience as Cook under Government / Quasi Government/ Public Sector/registered concern. The experience should be from an institution registered under the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act 1969, the Societies Registration Act 1860, The Travancore Cochin Literary Scientific Charitable Societies Registration Act 1955, The Companies Act 1956, or any Institution or Firm or Company which has a legal entity under any law in India or abroad for the time being in force or SSI registered with the Industrial Development Commissioner or Industrial Institutions wherein Government have investment from Central or State Government Service or in Public Sector Undertaking or registered Private Sector Undertaking. Experience should be acquired after the acquisition of the basic academic qualifications. Physical Standards: Not specified Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS&SSR is applicable. In addition to the qualifications prescribed, qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for the post, or found acceptable by the Commission, shall be sufficient.
General conditions from the notification
The Ranked list published shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum period of three years. The Kerala Public Service Commission has the power to cancel the advice for appointment if found to be made under mistake within the period of probation or 240 days from the date of joining duty. Sub Paras (viii), (ix), (x), (xi), (xiii) & (xiv) of Paragraph 2, Paragraphs 5 and 6 of the General Conditions are not applicable to this post.
