Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) in Irrigation. Category No: 664/2022. Vacancies: 01 (One). Scale of Pay: ₹55200-115300/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment from among the eligible hands (Draftsman/Overseer Gr. I, Gr. II, Gr. III having not less than 2 years service OR Clerk/Typist/Typist-Clerk/Confidential Assistant having not less than 6 years service) of the Irrigation Department.. Applications must be submitted online on or before 01-02-2023 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • B.Sc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering of the Kerala University or equivalent qualification. • B.E Degree in Mechanical Engineering of the Madras University or equivalent qualification. • Associate Membership Diploma of the Institution of Engineers (India) in Mechanical Engineering or any other equivalent qualification recognised as such. • Pass in Sections A and B of the Associate Membership Examination of the Institution of Engineers (India) in Mechanical Engineering. • Any other qualification recognised by the Government as equivalent to B.Sc Degree in Mechanical Engineering of the Kerala University. Experience Required: Draftsman/Overseer Gr. I, Gr. II, Gr. III should have not less than 2 years service in the Irrigation Department, and Clerk/Typist/Typist-Clerk/Confidential Assistant should have not less than 6 years service in the Irrigation Department. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable.

Direct Recruitment from among the eligible hands (Draftsman/Overseer Gr. I, Gr. II, Gr. III having not less than 2 years service OR Clerk/Typist/Typist-Clerk/Confidential Assistant having not less than 6 years service) of the Irrigation Department.
General conditions from the notification
Candidates appointed to the post shall, if required, be liable to serve in the Defence Services for the first 10 years of their service (including the period of training) for not less than 4 years, if their services are required. This liability does not apply to those who have completed 40 years of age.
