Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Women Civil Police Officer in Police. Category No: 66/2017. Vacancies: Battalion-wise: Wayanad (KAP-4) - 12, Palakkad (Attappady block only) (KAP-2) - 5, Malappuram (Nilambur block only) (MSP) - 4. Scale of Pay: 22200-48000/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (Special recruitment for Scheduled Tribes residing in forest/settlement colonies of Wayanad district, Nilambur block of Malappuram district, and Attappady block of Palakkad district). Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • SSLC or equivalent examination passed. • In the absence of SSLC holders, SSLC failed candidates will be considered. • In the absence of the above, candidates who have passed 8th standard will be considered. Experience Required: None Physical Standards: Minimum height 150 cm (relaxable to 148 cm if sufficient candidates are not available). Must possess required vision standards (Distant vision 6/6 Snellen, Near vision 0.5 Snellen for both eyes). Must be free from physical deformities like knock-knee, flat foot, varicose vein, bow legs, squint, etc. Must pass the Physical Efficiency Test (National Physical Efficiency Test one-star standard in 8 items). Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable.

General conditions from the notification
The selection is district-wise. Candidates must belong to the Scheduled Tribe communities (Paniyan, Adiyan, Kattunaickan given preference). Candidates must submit certificates from Revenue authorities and Forest Ranger/Tribal Extension Officer proving residence in the specified forest/settlement areas.
