Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of II Grade Draftsman (Architectural) in PWD (Architectural Wing). Category No: 591/2013 to 592/2013. Vacancies: Cat. No 591/2013 - Ezhava/Thiyya/Billava – 1, Cat. No 592/2013 - Viswakarma – 1 (One). Scale of Pay: Rs. 6680 – 10790 (PR). Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (from among candidates belonging to Ezhava/Thiyya/Billava and Viswakarma Communities only).. Applications must be submitted online on or before 05-02-2014 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

19-40; ie, only candidates born between 02/01/1973 and 01/01/1994 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for the post. Including relaxation mentioned in para 2(i) of the General Conditions. Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Pass in S.M.T Institute’s Overseer’s Course (Two years course) • Group Certificate under K.G.T.E. or M.G.T.E. (Group certificate includes all the four groups viz., Building Drawing, Building Construction, Survey and Irrigation) • A pass in eight subjects under K.G.T.E. or M.G.T.E. viz., i. Surveying and Leveling (Higher), ii. Applied Mechanics (Higher), iii. Building Materials and Construction (Higher), iv. Hydraulics & Irrigation (Higher), v. Building, Drawing & Estimating (Higher), vi. Earthwork and Road Making (Higher), vii. Geometrical Drawing (Lower), viii. Mensuration (Lower) • Certificate Course of College of Engineering, Trivandrum (2 years course) • Diploma in Craftsmanship (Draftsman-Civil) obtained after undergoing a course for eighteen months (followed by practical training for a period of six months) at the Industrial Training Centres conducted by the Govt. of India (Ministry of Labour) at Trivandrum, Thrissur, Chalakudy, Kannur or elsewhere • Pass in Overseer’s Course conducted by Government Technical Qualifications: • Proficiency in drawing (Proficiency in the preparation of Architectural drawing shall be judged on the basis of a practical test in Architectural drafting and free hand drawing to be conducted at the time of selection.)
