Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Non-Vocational Teacher (Junior) Economics in Kerala Vocational Higher Secondary Education. Category No: 590/2022. Vacancies: 03 (Three). Scale of Pay: 45600 - 95600/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment. Applications must be submitted online on or before 01-02-2023 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

23-40. Candidates must be born between 02.01.1982 and 01.01.1999 (both dates included). Usual age relaxation applies to SC/ST and other backward communities as per Part II of General Conditions. Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Post Graduate Degree in Economics with not less than 50% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto. • B.Ed Degree in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto. • In the absence of candidates with B.Ed Degree in the concerned subject, B.Ed Degree acquired in the concerned faculty as specified in the Acts and Statutes of any of the Universities in Kerala. • In the absence of candidates with B.Ed Degree as specified in (i) and (ii) above, B.Ed Degree in any subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto. • In the absence of candidates with B.Ed Degree, candidates with Post Graduate Degree in Economics with not less than 50% marks and who have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) will be considered. Preference will be given to candidates who have acquired Ph.D/M.Phil or qualified Junior Research Fellowship/National Eligibility Test. Teachers appointed under this provision must acquire B.Ed Degree at their own expense within 5 years from the date of joining service. • Candidates who have acquired M.Ed in the concerned subject after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala are exempted from B.Ed qualification. Technical Qualifications: • Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Non-Vocational Teacher conducted by Government of Kerala or by any agency authorized by the Government of Kerala. Experience Required: None Physical Standards: Not applicable Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. Higher qualifications in the concerned subject (Ph.D/M.Phil/Post Doctoral Fellowship) will be awarded additional marks as per the notification.
General conditions from the notification
Candidates must follow Part II of KS&SSR. Probation period is 2 years within a continuous service of 3 years. Confirmation for exam is mandatory via profile.
