Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Post Graduate Degree in Zoology/Botany with not less than 50% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto. • Degree in B.Ed. in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto. • In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree in the concerned subject, B.Ed. Degree acquired in the concerned Faculty as specified in the Acts and Statutes of any of the Universities in Kerala. • In the absence of persons with B.Ed. degree specified in items (i) and (ii) above, B.Ed. degree in any subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto. • In the absence of persons with B.Ed. degree, candidates who have acquired Post Graduate Degree with not less than 50% marks and who have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post. Ph.D/M.Phil holders or Junior Research Fellowship/National Eligibility Test holders will be given preference. (Candidates appointed under this provision should acquire B.Ed. degree at their own expense within 5 years from the date of entry in service). • M.Ed. degree in the concerned subject recognized by any of the Universities in Kerala acquired through regular study is exempted from B.Ed. qualification. Technical Qualifications: • Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Non-Vocational Teacher conducted by the Government of Kerala or by any Agency authorized by the Government of Kerala. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable.
General conditions from the notification
As per Part II KS&SSR, probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years.
