Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Field Assistant in Hydrographic Survey Wing. Category No: 520/2022. Vacancies: 3 (Three). Scale of Pay: ₹ 37,400 – 79,000/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment. Applications must be submitted online on or before 18-01-2023 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

18-36. Only candidates born between 02.01.1986 and 01.01.2004 (both dates included) are eligible to apply with usual relaxation to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Communities. Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Survey Recorder Class II or Class III Certificate issued by the Indian Naval Hydrographic Survey Branch. • OR • Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification recognized by the Government of Kerala. • OR • Seaman in the Indian Navy with Petty Officer, First Class Quartermaster qualification or First Class Radar Controller or First Class Radar Plotter [GO(P) No. 48/94/F&PD dated 08.09.1994] Experience Required: Candidates with Survey Recorder Class II must have not less than 2 years experience in the Hydrographic Survey after acquiring the qualification. Candidates with Survey Recorder Class III must have not less than 4 years experience in the Hydrographic Survey after acquiring the qualification. Candidates with Civil Engineering Diploma must have not less than 1 year experience from the Hydrographic Survey Wing of Kerala State Port Department. Seaman from Indian Navy with Petty Officer qualifications must have not less than 10 years experience from Indian Navy. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. Government orders regarding equivalent/higher qualifications shall be produced when called for.
General conditions from the notification
The Ranked List published pursuant to this notification shall cease to be in force after one year from the date of finalization of the list or after three years, whichever is earlier. Candidates advised will be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years.
