Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Forest Ranger (Range Forest Officer) in Forest. Category No: 485/2021. Vacancies: Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 1 (One). Scale of Pay: ₹ 55,200 – 1,15,300/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (From Scheduled Tribe candidates only). Applications must be submitted online on or before 01-12-2021 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Degree in Forestry from Kerala Agricultural University or any University/Institution/Deplicated University recognized by the Central or State Government. Physical Standards: Male Candidates: Height - not less than 158 cm, Chest - not less than 76.5 cm, Expansion - not less than 5 cm. Female Candidates: Height - not less than 145 cm. Medical Standards: Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen, Near Vision 0.5 Snellen, Colour Vision - Normal, Night Blindness - None, Sound health and robust constitution. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)ii is applicable. Equivalency must be proved by Government Order produced at the time of verification.
General conditions from the notification
Applications of candidates not belonging to the reserved community will be rejected. Selected candidates have to undergo a 1-year practical training and then Range Forest Officer course at State Forest Service Colleges. Agreement and bond required for serving the Government for at least 5 years and executing a bond/security.
