Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Driver Gr. II (HDV) (Ex-Servicemen only) in NCC / Sainik Welfare Department. Category No: 325/2013 to 330/2013. Vacancies: District Wise. Scale of Pay: 9190-15780/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (From candidates belonging to reservation communities only). Applications must be submitted online on or before 17-10-2013 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

21-42. Only Muslim, LC/A1, OBC, Ezhava, Viswakarma candidates born between 02.01.1970 and 01.01.1991 (both dates included) are eligible. The upper age limit will be 44 in the case of SC/ST candidates (born between 02.01.1968 and 01.01.1991). Maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years. Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Literacy in Malayalam or Tamil or Kannada Technical Qualifications: • Must possess Current Motor Driving Licence with endorsement of driving Heavy Duty Vehicle and Motor Cycle • Must have three years experience in driving Heavy Duty vehicle either Military or Civil • Driving Licence issued after 16.01.1979 must have endorsement both for heavy Goods and heavy passenger Vehicles Experience Required: Three years experience in driving Heavy Duty vehicle either Military or Civil. Physical Standards: Distant vision: 6/6 Snellen, Near vision: 0.5 snellen, Colour vision: Normal, Night blindness: Nil. Muscles and joints: No paralysis and all joints must be capable of free movement. Nervous System: Perfectly normal and free from any infectious diseases. Hearing should be perfect. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Not specified

General conditions from the notification
Candidates must be Ex-Servicemen/Disembodied Territorial Army personnel. Selected candidates must be able to drive Light Duty Vehicles. Physically Handicapped candidates are not eligible. A practical test will be conducted; if applications are large, a written test will be held. Probation period is 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years.
