Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Draftsman Grade II (Civil)/Overseer Grade II(Civil) in Harbour Engineering. Category No: 280/2024. Vacancies: 05 (Five). Scale of Pay: ₹ 31,100-66,800. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment. Applications must be submitted online on or before 03-10-2024 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Must have passed the SSLC examination or its equivalent examination. Technical Qualifications: • National Trade Certificate in Draftsman Civil or Surveyor. • Group Certificate in Kerala Government Certificate of Engineering (Group Certificate will include all the four subjects namely Building, Drawing, Building Construction, Survey and Irrigation). • A pass in the Madras Government Technical Examination/Kerala Government Technical Examination in the following seven subjects: (i) Surveying and levelling (Higher), (ii) Applied Mechanics (Higher), (iii) Building Materials and Construction (Higher), (iv) Building Drawing and Estimating (Higher), (v) Hydraulics and Irrigation (Higher), (vi) Geometrical Drawing (Higher), (vii) Mensuration (Lower). • Diploma in Civil Engineering (2 year course) of the woman’s Polytechnic of the State of Kerala (GO(P) No. 10/93/F&PD Dated 27.03.1993 (SRO NO.547/93)). Experience Required: Not applicable Physical Standards: Not specified Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II KS&SSR is applicable. In addition to the qualifications prescribed in the notification, the qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for a post, in the Special Rules or found acceptable by the Commission in cases where acceptance of equivalent qualifications is provided for in the rules and such of those qualifications which pre-suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post, shall also be sufficient for the post.
General conditions from the notification
Candidates appointed by direct recruitment will be on probation for a period of two years within a continuous period of three years. Candidates must submit confirmation for writing the examination through their One Time Registration profile if a test is conducted. General conditions as per Part II of KS&SSR apply.
