Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • SSLC or equivalent qualification Technical Qualifications: • National Trade Certificate in Radio/Television/Electronics/Telecommunications/Electrical Engineering/Computer/Information Technology or equivalent qualification recognized by the Government of Kerala Experience Required: None Physical Standards: Height: 167 cm; Chest: 81 cm with a minimum expansion of 5 cm. (Relaxation for SC/ST: Height 160 cm, Chest 76 cm with 5 cm expansion). Vision: Distant vision 6/6 Snellen for both eyes, Near vision 0.5 Snellen for both eyes. Must be free from physical defects like knock-knee, flat foot, varicose vein, bow legs, deformed limbs, irregular/protruding teeth, and defective speech/hearing. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. Candidates claiming equivalent qualifications must produce the government order proving equivalency at the time of verification.
General conditions from the notification
Candidates must undergo 9 months of training. A bond of Rs. 5000/- to serve the department for at least 5 years is required. Probation period is 2 years within a 3-year service period. Confirmation for exam is mandatory.
