Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Female Assistant Prison Officer in Prisons Department. Category No: 129/2022. Vacancies: Statewide: Scheduled Caste (SC) - 1 (One). Scale of Pay: 20,000 – 45,800/- (PR). Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (Statewide) (From Scheduled Caste reservation community only). Applications must be submitted online on or before 01-06-2022 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Pass in SSLC or its equivalent examination. Physical Standards: Minimum 150 cm height. Vision standards: Must be certified without glasses (Distant Vision Right: 6/6 Snellen, Left: 6/6 Snellen; Near Vision Right: 0.5 Snellen, Left: 0.5 Snellen). Must be free from knock-knee, flat foot, varicose veins, bowed legs, deformed limbs, malformed teeth, prominent teeth, stammering, speech and hearing defects. Must qualify in at least 5 (five) out of the 8 (eight) events of the National Physical Efficiency Test (One Star standard). Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS & SSR Part II Rule 10(a) (ii) is applicable.

General conditions from the notification
Applications of candidates belonging to non-reservation communities will be summarily rejected. Candidates must produce a Medical Certificate in the prescribed format from a Medical Officer not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon/Junior Consultant during the Physical Efficiency Test and upload it to their profile during certificate verification. Probation period is two years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years from the date of joining. In-service training and passing of Kerala Jail Subordinate Officers Test within the probation period are mandatory.
