Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Driver Grade II (HDV) (Ex-Servicemen only) in NCC / Sainik Welfare Department. Category No: 120/2023. Vacancies: District-wise (Ernakulam - Scheduled Caste - 01). Scale of Pay: ₹ 25100-57900/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (From among Ex-Servicemen belonging to Scheduled Caste communities only. In the absence of SC Ex-Servicemen, ST Ex-Servicemen will be considered). Applications must be submitted online on or before 19-07-2023 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

21 - 44. Candidates should have been born between 02.01.1979 and 01.01.2002 (both dates included). (Including general relaxations as per Para 2(i)). Maximum age limit shall not exceed 50 (fifty) years. Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Ability to read and write Malayalam or Tamil or Kannada. Technical Qualifications: • Must possess current Motor Driving Licence with endorsement for Heavy Duty Vehicles (Military or Civil) and Motor Cycles. • Three years experience in driving Heavy Duty Vehicles obtained after 16.01.1979. • Licence should have endorsements for Heavy Goods and Heavy Passenger vehicles for licences obtained after 16.01.1979. • Practical test including 'T' Test and 'Road Test' conducted by the PSC. Experience Required: 3 years experience in driving Heavy Duty Vehicles (Military or Civil) obtained after 16.01.1979. Physical Standards: Ear: Hearing should be perfect. Eye: Right Eye - Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen, Near Vision 0.5 Snellen; Left Eye - Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen, Near Vision 0.5 Snellen. Colour Vision: Normal. Night blindness: Nil. Muscles and joints: No paralysis and all joints with free movements. Nervous system: Perfectly normal and free from any infectious diseases. Must be free from infectious diseases and deformities. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Rule 10(a)ii is applicable. Equivalent qualifications declared by executive orders or standing orders of the Government will be accepted.

General conditions from the notification
Appointments are made on district-wise basis. Candidates selected from the ranked list shall not be transferred to any other district for a continuous period of 5 years from the date of commencement of service. Probation period: Total service of 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years from the date of joining duty.
